Join us for the inaugural 3-day military convention and Art Festival involving action/adventure, animation, film, comics and literary works hosted by Operation Call-to-Service. The event is inspired by the POW/MIA historical fiction story, “Purple Foxes United,” which involves female heroines who join together to save their brothers in arms. Many of the characters highlighted in the project are based on our real-life heroes and Honor Flight San Diego alumni veterans.
On Friday, there will be a special presentation of “Into Flight Once More” to benefit the D-Day Squadron. The documentary highlights the D-Day Squadron and their courageous 2019 mission to cross the Atlantic for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day -an amazing feat to participate and celebrate the end of WWII in Normandy, France. The film is narrated by Academy Award nominated actor and veteran advocate Gary Sinise.
During the day on Saturday, the iconic Hotel del Coronado, will host the largest flyover of vintage DC-3’s part of the D-Day Squadron that served in WWII, among other monumental campaigns. Elite parachutists from across the globe will jump onto the beaches of Coronado with Wounded Warriors, POW Vietnam vets and WWII veterans.
On Sunday, there will be an Art Festival and “Meet the Heroes” presentation. One of the featured artists and United States Navy Chief Petty Officer Joe Pisano will unveil one of his panels of “The Art of Immortalizing Heroes.”
Force-Con 2022 is expected to be the largest superhero military convention involving all service branches and art forms. World renowned artists, best-selling authors, epic gamers and award-winning filmmaker’s will all take part in this 3-Day extravaganza coming to San Diego September 23-25, 2022.
We thank Team Force-Con for including us as portions of the proceeds will be donated to Honor Flight San Diego to support our mission.
