Veterans
If you are a Veteran and would like to experience an Honor Flight at no cost to you, please complete the application below. Priority is given to WWII and Korean War Veterans, and Veterans from any era with terminal illnesses (be sure to notate your terminal condition on your application). **Please note that due to the influx of Vietnam Veteran applications, it may be considerable time until you are called for a flight. We take 90-100 veterans on two flights/year (pending funding).
You will receive a confirmation email when you hit “submit” at the end of the application and that’s how you know we received your application.
Guardians
Apply to volunteer as an Honor Flight Guardian on an upcoming trip. Guardian FAQ’s provide information on duties and responsibilities. The Guardian position is a working position (physically assisting veterans, loading and pushing wheelchairs, assisting with luggage, etc.). Please be certain you are physically able to serve as a Guardian before applying.
**Please note there is a waiting list for non-family guardians to be called for a flight. Due to the dynamics of pairing veterans and guardians, and last minute cancellations, you may receive a call early in the planning process, or weeks/days in advance of a flight.
In accordance with Honor Flight policy – a spouse/significant other is NOT PERMITTED to serve as the veteran’s Guardian. The fee for Guardians is $900.
You will receive a confirmation email when you hit “submit” at the end of the application and that’s how you know we received your application.
